I watched the 99 or 2000 ARRC and remember 1:39.2 in qualifing.....shocked me then, will be my goal this upcoming year David

You're already close, just a few tenths off. Next year might be your year.

I think that was 2001 or 2002 that Chet ran a 1:39 in the BMW. If it was in the 240z or Sylvain in the RX7 that would have been something in 2000. Here's the top 11 results for the sprint, Chet qualified just under his race times. If you ever saw his lap times, they were almost dead on each lap. He was really consistant. Taylor and Chet were under the current lap record. 1:42 was a 2nd place time. But still under the record. And a 3rd place for Doug Stewart, David Kim's car I think. Top 5 for the enduro. Kip won the enduro with a 1:42.
