I have to say that yes the time it took to go through tech was rediculous and it put a damper on the accomplishment that I had just made. However, I do understand and respect the meticulous work that the inspectors were doing. I only wish that they were better at dealing with people and keeping us informed on why it took so long to release us, It bothered me that I had to inform the chief steward that I was going to miss my flight home before they decided to release the ITB class.

Thank you workers for going the extra mile to make sure our cars were legal, however can you please keep the owners and drivers in the loop a little better?

Well, far be it from me to put a damper on your accomplishment (many congrats, by the way!) but, seriously dude, where have you been? It's fairly common knowledge that if you plan to be in the top-5 at the ARRC it's pretty, um, well, "optimistic" to make travel plans to go home the same day...

Hell, when I won ITA in '06 I spent easily 5-6 hours in tech, and I brought my engine home in small boxes...

Gotta agree with Greg. When I register for the ARRC and make the trek to the event, I go knowing that if I place in the top cars in my class it's very likely my engine will be torn apart among other things. I also recognize the inspectors are looking at not only my car which would take long enough but also other cars in my and other classes. Quite honestly, that's been one of the lures to this race - the fact they have at least a little bit of a tech inspection.

Congrats though Aaron. Fun even, eh? Hopefully I'll see you there next year.

It was a very fun event and I do plan on going again. Next year I do plan on staying through Sunday and not rushing to the airport too... lol

Dont get me wrong, I do appreciate everything that the tech inspectors were doing...

LOL - cut the kid a break, it was his first time there!!!

That said - thanks for applying a little more pressure, Aaron! We already'd had lunch there, I wasn't looking forward to dinner too... it really was a LONG time... and watching the cars stack up behind us, Group 1, it looked like there was a serious throughput problem...

I appreciate the effort needed, and the level of scrutiny - but maybe some better structure might help streamline things... there were a lot more rumours flying around that shed than were helpful...
