I have not been on in awhile. It is an 80s CRX. I have not had a chance to go through any of it. The car was a friends car that is sitting for some time.

First Gen CRX....'84-'87
Second Gen CRX....'88-'91
First Gens run in B or C, depending on if they're fuel injected or Carb.
Seconds can run in A, B, or C depending on type of fuel injection and
4 or 5 speed trans.
Incredibly good ready to race A....$8000-10,000
B.....$3000-4000
C.....$2000-3000
Or not!

And there's an "incredibly good ready to race A" CRX on the market right now with all the parts to run NASA PTD (and a truck-load of spares) for something like $9,500... and there's the ex-Ruck ITS Prelude for ~$10k that hasn't sold despite being on the market for months... and my prior "body in white" Civic Sedan ITA car for ~$8,500.
As awesome as these cars are and as much as they cost to build, the market is tough right now for anything more than $3-4k.

Id part with my ITA car for 5k right now.
And its nice and basically built to to the rules limits.....haha
I cleaned up the car and got it running. It has a fuel cell. Bolt cage. No full bars on the passenger side. Two horizonal bars on the driver side. It is no 1.75 tubing, must be 1.5.
The rear has coil over adjustable shocks. The front has a koni strut, but a torsion bar or something front end. Are they all like this? No springs?

If it has a carb, it's a C, and should be damn near free. If fuel injected, B, with a bolt in cage, maybe $1500-2000.

It has in injected motor. This is going to be a first car for my son to get a license. It was actually free, if I get it running I get to use it is the deal.
I guess I need to get it to a tech inspector to see what they like and don't like. I am not sure how much money to put into this car just to get it reliable and current.
They can be competitive....a Civic, same generation (mechanically the same, longer wheelbase), just won the 2012 NARRC ITB Championship. Not mine however!
