We have a 944 we were going to build into an ITS car. However I have the opportunity to purchase a ready to go 325i which as been running ITS on an irregular basis. The man actually has two ready to go cars for sale. I drove one of these cars before at the Tropical 12 hours race at Homestead and had alot of fun. I am leaning toward ITS or ITR as I want to run the Florida Endurance Series ...liking longer races. I just really am not looking forward to building. i got spoiled racing formula and sports racing cars for the past bunch of years
First: the absolute positive best way to get a racecar is to
buy a good one that is already built, rather than build one yourself,
even if you have to spend some time tweaking, you generally
get the benefit of a bazillion hours of free labor and parts
at 40 cents on the dollar
Second: the E36 325's are exceedingly popular in ITR, and the
ticket to the front row, at least here in the northeast, which
seems to be the best ITR market so far... you could run it in
ITS with an SIR, but nobody around here does anymore
good luck!

These two cars have the E-30 engine so I believe that would put them in ITS. I am still trying to get used to all these rules and understanding them. It has been many years since I raced production based cars. Back then it was British Leyland stuff.
Do appreciate all the thoughts. At least both these cars have all the appropriate safety equipment so I don't need to get all that worked out
The e30 can be raced in ITB, ITA, or ITS depending on the engine. Matt Repert has done well in the SEDIV in ITS, and I have done reasonably well in ITA. Cars are fun and easy to drive and when built correctly, quite reliable. Chuck

Both these cars are very well done and have proven themselves in numerous long distance races including the Tropical 12 hour at Homestead and the endurance ( 12 or 24 ?? ) races at Moroso. I drove one of the cars at the Tropic 12 one year and had a ball even though we did not use the banking.
Any input is appreciated. I just want to get back to driving as soon as possible
I have one E 30 parts, donor car, for sale. 900$

we will keep it in mind. the person we will be purchasing the car from has about 10 of them in parts and a couple that are still whole. we might be looking for some glass though if he doesn't have it
thanks
