Thanks Greg, I didn't realize that. Unfortunately, the 1.7 head I installed today barely runs, so I don't think I'm going to make it at all tomorrow (Sat -- actually today already). I've got a line on one more early head. If that pans out, I might still make it for Sunday.
If not, perhaps I'll do a full engine swap to something with more disp and/or valves. I guess now's as good a time as any to re-read those STL/STU rules... Did you see my earlier question: The 1.8T is a VW/Audi 1.8L 5V/cyl turbocharged engine.
