I noticed they took out the age restrictions. Does this mean I may convert my Pinto to ST Whatever??

We did? It was suppose to still be 1985<. I'll have to go back and look at the document.

9.1.4.b IT cars in their IT configuraqtion. That part dosen't mention a model year restriction.

No, it means you can run your IT Whatever Pinto in STL, as long as you conform to all applicable IT specs. But the moment you consider "converting" your Pinto to STL specs, it's aged-out and no longer legal for STL. Unless there's a 1985 Pinto I don't know about...
GA
Last year of the Pinto was 1980, don't ask how I know such things.....
I believe that the removal of the year requirement was an oversight. I am going to look into that.

The Age restriction is still in there;
A. P urpose
Vehicles used in the series
this category must be identifiable with the vehicles offered for sale to the public and available
through the manufacturer’s normal distribution channels in the US. The intent of these rules is to allow older World Challenge

The
intent of this category is to allow a level of preparation for cars similar to that of World Challenge cars.
No model years older
than 1985 will be permitted
eligible, except that cars from model runs began before 1985 are permitted eligible (e.g., if a

that can produce a Pro Racing VTS sheet are eligible under these preparation rules. Items not listed on the World
Challenge VTS sheets must comply with all the remaining Super Touring rules. All cars racing with a World Challenge
VTS sheet must compete on the specified World Challenge

Greg,
According to this it looks like you can't run an IT car older than '85, even if it's just built to IT specs.
In fact, it looks like ST aging is a bit more open. For example, the last year of the 1st gen RX7 was a 1985 m/y. The way I read it, is that you could build an ST car out of a 1978 tub.
GCR listed IT cars, 1985 and newer, under their current IT specifications.
Bill, read the August Fastrack. "1985 and newer" was struck from the current GCR. - GA
Why cant it be 84 and newer? My rabbit really wants a1.8L or 2.0L16v......STU!!!!
