oh my....yes that will be one hell of a jump from ITC to ITR. A little bit of a speed difference LOL!:026:
Freaking awesome RSX......love those cars!! or any Honda for that matter
Do you ever come to Nelson Ledges to race??
Id love to see the car in person once you have it done!
Good luck with the build
Very nice!
That will be an interesting build. ETA for on track?

Congrats on the new car! I think the RSX should be able to do pretty well in ITR... it'll definitely make good power and can fit a shit-ton of tire on the front. Only "interesting" part of it is the suspension and deciding how you're going to keep it from moving.

That should be easy enough... say 1000-12000 lbs springs in the rear should do it! haha..

From what I've heard, 1000-1200 would be waaaaaay too soft.

I seem to recall the King Motorsports RSX (I THINK it was an RSX) World Challenge car running 7000 pounders in the back at Lime Rock...pre re paving. Of course, the wheel rate was only 3500.....
Bob Endicott was driving that weekend.

That's great! ITR cars are starting to pop up more and more. I know there are lots of RSX's running 255's in front and I believe I have seen a few with 275's. Not to mention that thing is going to make some serious POWER in IT trim.

If I were to build an ITR car today, the RSX-S would be near the top of my list. They can be made to handle quite well, but it's through some rather unorthodox methods.

Thanks! It certainly will be an awesome ride!
Now, for the down and dirty.... I guess I shouldn't have made a post like this and then left all day to the shop? The facts... my wife is haveing a mid life crises and wanted a sporty, car... I sugested a couple of things: Solstice, Civic SI, BMW 3 series, Scion coupe, RSX, RX 8 (ya'll getting my direction here? ) The car she liked the most was the Acura. She even asked me "what could you build a race car out of when I'm done?" (damn! can I pick em or what?) :026:
So I searched until I found the perfect Type S that hadn't been dogged hard. I finally found one with 20000 miles on it. I stashed that sucker from her for a month and finally gave it to her on christmas. With one exception... I get it back in time for my 50th birthday! She aggreed, and hence, I have my ITR car! It'll just take a few years.
So, when should I start the build thread? Or perhaps a prefered parts thread?
