LOL...then I'm THERE! I'll tow ten hours for High Life anytime!
Seriously, it's tenatively on the schedule. Probably 80% that I make it. If so, we'll have some beers. I usually head into B-ham Saturday night for some music as well.
There was a test day the two years I've been there. It's a pretty technical track. A couple of corners where you need to be (in an S car) is not really where you initially think you need to be. Fun track though, has this cool down hill that is a bit like the corkscrew at Laguna Seca.

Yes we were there with four cars getting everyone through the licensing process. Sorry to see so much trouble with the CRX. I wish I would have had more time to come over and help(I have three of them).
Car has been a great project, Originaly given to me from a friend in NO after the hurricane. This very car has been under 6 feet of water for around 12 days. Cleaned it up fresh motor and suspension. Safety gear and here we are. I could have sworn that you were in Memphis for the double school in March. There was a TR8 there, and I just labeled it as yours.
Hope to see all of you in late August, if this Rolex pit crew thing does not materialize.
Thanks,
Carver
I thought I recognized the 240 - Me and a buddy ran the single after the school at Memphis. We were both in Rabbit GTI's. I remember vividly your off course wet grass pass drivers right when entering the 90 deg left at the wall behind the paddock.
I was coming out of the M's when you did it, and have it on my in-car video.
Anyway - we need an improvedtouring.com paddock area at Barber!
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

My car is built to SowDiv SpecRX-7 rules. Can anyone tell me where I would be classed at a SEDiv. event? I assume I would be an underprepared IT-7 for this event.

Troy,
.....You can run IT7 or ITA But you will do best in IT7. Your corner speeds will be lower but in a straight line you will be about the same as the others.
Thanks for the info guys. Now I have to see if I'll be able to swing this trip.

We haven't gotten the sanction numbers back from Topeka yet, but it will be on DLB once we do. I'll start bugging them today and we should have everything ready to go by this weekend.

I plan to be there for the whole enchilada. Since there is little or no electricity at Barber (or there wasn't much the last time) I'm staying at the Comfort Inn in Leeds. It has a nice pool and a Ruby Tuesday's next door you can crawl back from.

Anybody get a hotel yet? What did you pay? They sure were proud of their hotel rooms last year. It was July 4th, but who goes to Birmingham for that? It'll be labor day this time around.

I'm going to try to make it, since it's only 4 short hours from my house.
Never driven the track, need to find some video.
Try this again.

Thanks Dave! (Sorry for the delay, been out of town)
I'll be there. Unlike Chuck, I have a very long 22 mile tow. I'm going to ask Chuck for some fuel money when I get there.
