Hastings, NE Double Regional

This is a reminder that the double regional at Motorsport Park Hastings (Hastings, NE) is on July 26 and 27, NOT the 19th/20th as shown on the Mid-Am Points report. Don't fall into the same trap I did and assume that the points report dates are correct.

Not yet listed on DLB, but I'm sure it will be. Forms are available on the Nebraska Region's website for those who just can't wait.

Now off to try and fix my vacation days....

Gotta try to get closer than 5 seconds per lap behind Chris this year.

No luck for you on that one. Chris' grandmother lives in the Good Samaritan Village just down the road, so an opportunity to combine racing with visiting grandma/greatgrandma is too good to pass up. She actually came out to the track last year and was excited to get to see Chris race.

Dave and I plan on being there with the Peon, since wee didn't blow it up or hit anything with it at Hallett..... :)

You don't have to pay on-line if you don't want to - simply click the "CHECK" payment radio button and bring your check or cash to the racetrack.

Entries are very light - we'd love to see everyone!

Should we cross-post this in the Rocky Mountain section? Maybe get a few more entries? Really, some of the CO/west NE people are closer than we are to Hastings (been there, done that, know it well).

I know the Rocky Mountain NASA people are having their event at Hastings on Aug 9-10.

At least some of the Colorado people are willing to travel.
 
I will be racing as long as my NASA licence shows up.....and the cage gets finished:eek:and tech.....

my grandmother used to live at GS village also... nice place, lots of old people?

How many IT vws are going?6-7? It will be my first SCCA race, please be nice , Dave,Alex,Harlan,Tim,Chris, Chuck..... WAHOO I Cant Wait!!!!

HEADS UP!! Chris received an email late last night saying that this event has been cancelled.

Might have something to do with only having 32 entries....:shrug:
 
Well, I didn't really have the money anyway.:(

But I really like that track, wanted to try to improve myself there this year.:eclipsee_steering:

We'll hafta see if this opens up the Topeka weekend for Bare Bones Racing!:o
 
Event Cancelled!

Due to low subscription (only 30 entries), and in the financial interests of both regions involved in the Missouri Valley Race Group, the management committee has cancelled the race this weekend at Motorsports Park Hastings. I understand that this will inconvenience many people, but the losses would be simply unacceptable for both Regions.
