The 928 is a nightmare to work on! I've had my 81' US 5-speed for 7 years and have replaced just about everything and it's only at 65,000 miles. These cars don't sit well for long periods of time and if you find one cheap be prepared to sink a fortune into it just to get it started. Throw the stock brakes in the garbage and run something better, but legal. IIRC I spent about $500 just on gaskets to rebuild the top end. The cars only worth 3k if that.
Thats why I run a rabbit. Cheap, easy, and fun.
