ITO needs some work. Right now there is no place in SCCA to race your basic street stock Mustang/Camaro as opposed to your basic street stock import. ITO allows cars that would otherwise be classified as SPO cars to run in the same class as the street stocks. See the results. You have a couple ITO pony cars doing Road Atlanta laps in the 1:33 to 1:35 range with the majority of ITO cars running between 1:39 and 1:45.

The 98 car in these photos has more than 150hp to the wheels over my white mustang. There is a reason why the first line in the ITO rules is no car is guaranteed to be competitive.

I am not a fan of showing up with a car that I could put micheal andretti in and still have no shot to win.

SCCA probably needs an evolution of American Sedan to start allowing fuel injected cars and contemperary brake sizes into that class. But I only complain because I want to race in the SCCA and my best option is really NASA American Iron.
