The 12v motor is so similar to the VR6s that are already classified, they MUST fit. Not sure whether the 24v 200hp version would hit the target though.
Any thoughts?

200hp would put them in ITR at around 2710lbs (accounting for FWD)The 12v motor is so similar to the VR6s that are already classified, they MUST fit. Not sure whether the 24v 200hp version would hit the target though.

So the 17x hp 12 valve versions would still land in S correct?
The should be in the book. 2680IIRC.So the 17x hp 12 valve versions would still land in S correct? [/b]
The Golf3/Jetta3 are in the book with that motor and that weight.
The Golf4/Jetta4 was also sold with that motor, with updated management (drive by wire). The 4valve engine was introduced later on in the 4th generation life cycle (2002 my).
I believe the 99-00 mk4 VR was drive by cable, the 24v is solely drive by wire and man does the car go into a fit when you try to disable ABS.
