I just bought a 1976 Honda Civic ITD car that I plan to convert to vintage racing. Any leads as to websites or forums that specialize in the older Civics, specifically racing set ups?
Thanks,
Marc in Indy

I guess I'd start at www.redpepperracing.com and ask there. Those guys specialize in the '84-87 Civic/CRX's, so maybe they can point you further. That's pretty much the only forum I know of that deals with and specializes in the older Honda's.

You also might shoot an e-mail to King Motorsports. Scott used to race a 1st gen Civic in GT4/5 in the early/mid-80's.
You also might try contacting Adam Malley who won several national championships in H-Prod trim.
There isn't much discussion on the Red Pepper site about the older or newer Civics...it's pretty much dedicated to 84-87 models.

You'll have a heck of a time finding performance parts anymore, but these cars are a blast when set up correctly. I still run my 1973 Civic 1200cc in autocrosses, Solo events, and Hillclimbs.
