If one has an option of running stainless steel valves over stock ones...is this legal?

If the dimensions are the same...and it is a ferrous material...is it legal?

I know this has been covered on here in the past, but I dont remember the results. Tried a search, but to no avail.

I personally cannot see the problem if there is no performance advantage...
Is this a grey area? Or a definite no no
    thanks

    IIDSYCTYC.

If it doesn't say you can, then you can't. Maybe I missed something but what rule are you looking at that could make it grey?

Valve guide material is unrestricted, so that could be stainless. Valves....no go I think. Nothing that allows that.
