Headers

Hi GUys. Found that my header has dents that may restrict the air flow out.
Any good Ideas on a Header for a CRXsi 89. ITA
Thanks. Scott

I have a 4 into 1 big collector Header that I bought from Tom Blaney last fall. He used it for dyno evaluation but never raced it per the attached string below. I paid $225 including shipping. If you have been researching headers, the people that claim get good power are going to the 4 into 1 design and building a big collector at 2 1/4 inches. Such headers like mine are custom built and I belive about a $400 piece on the market. I was going to put it on my 88 CRX, but about a month after I got it, I bought a ITS Del Sol. As such its collecting dust in my garage attic as maximizing my CRX Si is no longer a priority.

I'll let it go for $200 including shipping (48 states). you can, or anybody else can if they get to me first email me at [email protected] to confirm the deal. I can send pictures.

Also FYI, to make this header work, you most definately need to do some exhaust work. You will need to get a new 2 1/4 inches diameter shorty exhaust fabricated at and have them put in a O2 sensor point (unless you are not runnning a sensor). Talk to Tom about what he recommends.

FYI, if anybody is running a DC Sports or other header that hooks up to a stock exhaust. I have a nice stainless steel shorty exhaust with built in muffler that is stock (I recollect 1/ 7/8") diameter. It should work with any D-16 CRX header set up for stock exhaust. Its gathering dust in my garage and for $50 + UPS, its available to anybody who needs an exhaust to go with their header. Just to confirm, this exhaust will not work with the above header which requires a 2 1/4 inch pipe.

Here is my discussions with tom last fall when I bought it.

Bob:

Figure $225.00 with shipping charges.

Send to

Make sure you give me a shipping address and I'll get them right out to you.

Scott:

If you don't want to take "Bob Roth's" deal (which is a good deal trust me!), than look to the SMS header, it is top shelf, and I did use it on my CRX, and did some dyno testing for Dave. Keep in mind that it is not $29.95

So you have two choices Bob's great deal, or open the checkbook and smile

Tom

Ok I have been trying to find a 90-93 Integra LS B18A1 header...mine has the puny collector and pea shooter into cat connector...bad bottleneck...prob why I cant get over 136hp down...I need better!! anyone have any links?
Thanks!

Evan,
Try Kirk Racing in Alabama. They made Gary's 4-1, and I just bought a set, too. Nice work. Took a little longer than it should've, but the product's great. Ports match well, good guage material, should add some real good top end.
