    Default Data Recording Software

Anybody got a favorite software package they use to record data about car setup, lap times, track conditions, etc.? The best one I've found seems to be Race Car Manager, but I'm not sure it's worth $100. I haven't found anything else that seems comparable, though.

And yes, I know I could make my own spreadsheet, or access database, or many other things, but I've got other things to do with my time and would prefer to buy a canned package.

    Thanks.

Our pick is Lap Tracker from Automotive Metrics (www.a-metrics.com). It has a number of fields and the timing function is as simple as pie. It even can be run on a Palm. Pricing is $40 for the PC version.
