Couple of weeks ago at CMP my bro overheated the motor in my IT7 car. about 220 when he came into pit with water boiling. After killing it at paddock it wouldn't restart. Trying to restart had water coming from exhaust. Pulled plugs and cranked resulting in water blowing out plug holes. Figure I've either got a cracked block or blown seal.

Not knowing much about rotary engines but being a decent mechanic is it best to try to build a new engine or just find a running engine? I have a couple of spares but am not sure the shape the internals of either contain. What's involved in building a competitive IT7 engine? Don't mind getting my hands dirty but am not sure the best way to start.

thoughts? Opinions? snide remarks?

Thanks!
