I just bought a 2nd Gen RX7 and while idling it revs up and down maybe 300 to 400 rpms. Is this a sensor that needs to be replaced?
Thanks in advance,
Phil

The most common solution to this issue is a TPS adjustment. It can be a few other things but check your TPS first.

Is this something I could try myself, having never done it before? I wasn't aware it was adjustable.
Thanks,
Phil
Yes you can do it no problem with minimal technical skills...
Check FC3S.org I believe.. or rx7club.com for technical tips on how to adjust it. (At work cant find it atm)
Do a search on TPS adjustment on the RX7club site.. and you should be done in like 5 minutes with the adjustment..
This could, of course, just be a vacuum leak. Spray carb clean around all those vacuum lines and see if the engine speeds up.Originally posted by 252phil:

cuz ya never know
Carb cleaner can eat up plastic pretty well. Might not want to spray it all over your intake.
