Time to clean up house. This car needs a new owner. What can I say.
    List of some items.
Engine pretty fresh, Mechanic Shop bottom end, head rebuilt with all new parts. Used only about six weekends over the last three years.
    .040 over.
DC Sport Header into custom exhaust
    Accusump with external oil cooler
Trans,4.78 final drive with Torsen LSD
    ACT clutch
New Koni yellow struts, used only two weekends
    Kirkey Intermediate Road race seat
Weiseberg cage, Nascar style driver side only
Autometer guages, tach with shift light
Two sets of wheels, Panasport and Revolution (Two decent sets of Hoosier tires)
    No fuel cell, stock tank

    What this car needs.
A transmission rebuild- pops out of fourth gear on deceleration.
A new radiator- developed a leak this past winter
    A valve adjustment- just because
The proper spring combo to balance the suspension. I Have springs and will include.
    Belts (duh!)
Car has battle scars but only cosmetic. The chassis is totally rust free
    Only a few spares:
One complete engine with less than 30k miles on it (the original engine from this car)
    One empty .040 over block
One GSR cable transmission (was given to me and prob needs a rebuild)

I am asking $6000 for this car but the price is negotiable.
Please contact me any further info or pics
text or call 203/249-0985. leave msg if I don't answer

    Will trade for a proper ITA/7 RX-7 + cash.
What do we have out there?

Bummer. Nice car and good price! What's a tranny rebuild for one of these things - around $400? Might be helpful for potential buyers to know.

That's a killer deal!! I can vouch it is an outstanding ITA car.
In regards to it popping out of 4th. Could it be just a cable or linkage problem? I had the same problem and it ended up being the cable. Good luck with the sale. it would be nice to see it continue to run in the northeast......... Good luck with the sale Ray.

If it's like the Civic, which I can assume it is, these boxes have cast shift forks that have a habit of breaking. My Civic had a third gear popout that was the shift fork. Bonespec is your guy, it wouldn't be a very expensive fix.

This car has some good parts on it, glws.

Sounds like the tranny to me. Happened to me a couple of years ago with my Honda. Fun holding the shifter in forth while in the down hill at LRP. Pretty inexpensive fix. Car could certainly run toward the pointy end of the field or allow a new driver to grow into it.

Exactly Dave! But it only happened if I lifted so I would do a quick lift at the top of the hill while holding the shifter then flat foot the rest of the downhill with both hands on the wheel. Weird how we compensate for different predicaments...

All posts are made by a fat old guy with a crappy old car that isnt supported by a factory anymore and therefore should not be taken seriously, EVER

We buy our tires at WalMart 205/50-15 NT-01 $148.00 last all season and go faster as they wear out........
