    Default Engine bearings

I am new to It after years of prod racing. Vandervell bearings of the 80's are no longer available. What is the best brand now available? I am running a Datsun. Want to get good service from the rebuild!

    Thanks for the help

ACL RACE line with Calico coatings. ACL Alumiglide or Clevite with calico coatings are almost as good.

uncoated, I'd shoot for ACL RACE.

John, Clevitte are still very good. Northernautoparts.com or Summit Racing are a good place to look up whether they have them for the Datsun you are running. King Bearings are now becoming a big suppier for older model cars. I have had good experience with them. Both Clevitte and King make tri-metal bearings for some models, similar to the old Vanderville. On an IT Datsun, this may not be as critical with less compression than Prod/GT cars and oils getting better and better.

Tom, thanks very much. Ran with you and your wife often in years pasted with my GT5 1200 and my Bugeye before that. Now playing with a former ITC B210. Most probably going vintage with it now.
