My local Advance Auto has some extremely good open ended ones under a Dorman brand. They are higher quality than the plated ones you typically find. But, we have 1/2"-16 thread which is very common.

Also, as mentioned before, Summit and Jegs.

I just got a new set a few months ago from here: http://www.track-studs.com

Great prices, but they get you on the shipping. They may still be an IT forum sponsor.

I procrastinated and didn't want to buy on line. I have been to the pep boys and auto zone type places but they didn't have the open end type. I will check those places Dan mentioned.

    Oh I also want 17's. Not 19...

    Thanks for all the replies!

Dorman Auto Products is your friend. This is the company that supplies most of the loose stock you see in the steel bins behind the counter. The web site is a little bit clunky, but with a little searching you can find what you want and then use the site to figure out what auto parts stores in your area stock the stuff. For example, my Spec Miata uses the lug nuts from a late model Ford Fusion (open ended, 19mm, steel, dirt cheap). I buy a dozen or so at a clip.
