SLOWLY building one now. Making weight is not going to be an issue, even with a 200lb driver. It is amazing how much weight comes off the car (legally). I know of one other running in the SE ( I think it is one of Chip's old cars). They are beginning to get it sorted.

As stated, should be a good car, but probably not dominant at most tracks.

Even in "almost" SSC trim it showed pretty good pace. The loss of 300 lbs should really liven it up.

Just to clarify from the original post, the years in question are 99-00, not '01.

if it's yellow, it likely was ours. now on its second owner since we built it, the guy in the middle used it for track days and I don't know what all he did to it other than move the seat and change the number. good, fun cars.

Completely concur with Chip's suggestions. This is really a lower-powered Integra, so anything/everything that applies to the Integra applies to the Civic.

IMO, this car will do well if wheeled hard, but it's a long row to hoe in the higher-powered world of ITS. Kinda like the CRX Si in ITA. I think will do good on shorter handling tracks, but get its lunched eaten at long fast tracks. - GA

Thanks a lot guys, especially you, Chip.

We are going to start the diet for this pig and see how fast the weight falls off.

Greg, I know you are correct. The pointy end of ITS here in the northeast/midatlantic has some pretty darn fast cars. The bimmers in particular have a lot of grunt.
