    Greg Amy: Can a competitor reduce the size of their engine and get th corresponding weight reduction> Specifically, would a competitor be allowed to build a 1500cc engine from a stock 1600cc engine and get the weight reduction from 1600 to 1500. Thx. racermr2

    You're talking about de-stroking and/or sleeving (or whatever) for smaller bore? Then Chris is correct, that's not allowed. Remember, the weight/displacement chart is based off of the original engine displacement, which does not include the allowed overbore...

    However, if you were to find a family 1500cc engine and install that, then yes, you can use the weight for the 1500cc engine.
