    Default Brake pad shims?

Anyone have a source for the tapered/Half pad shims that load the trailing end of the pad??
The VW will taper the pad and these shims should reduce that. Just I never have seen them for the VW.
    TIA, MM

If not, I will make a pile of them.

just pull your pads out and rotate them after each day on track?

I would like the brakes to work better for the 40 min race and also last 14 hrs for the Chumper.

looking at the caliper on the car. It occurs to me that maybe I can make some "permanent shims". By a little mill work on the piston and pad area of the caliper. This may also give some pad retraction..

any chance the slider pins/bores on the calipers are worn beyond useable service?
I haven't tracked too many single-piston calipers, but our LeMons Miata never has a problem with pad taper..
my wilwood dynalites were bad about it, but I would just rotate the pads every ~4hrs of track time and they would wear evenly.

for a Chump race, just flipe them at the end of each race day and voila. ???
