    Default Crx

I have found an old CRX that has not been used in perhaps 8 years. Coil overs and well prepared at the time.

Does not run, claims it needs a fuel pump and should run.

The body has some surface rust where chips were. Solid car. Paint is not really nice, would need to be repainted.

What would you value something like this.

Really nice, front running ones can be had for less than 10,000$. Belts and all rubber will need to be replaced. Cage may need to be updated (passenger side door bars).
    Mechanical? Cosmetics?

    I personally wouldn't pay more than 2500$.

That's assuming it's an ITA car, B or C, much less!

Where should I send the fuel pump? You need OEM or electric?

Can you even turn the motor over by hand?

Not having run in that long, there going to be quite a bit of "going over" that it needs prior to competition. Then add in the cage updates (passenger door bar), additional ballast, new belts, new tires, possibly updated fire system, etc and there ends up being a not insubstantial amount of work needed. I've seen very well prepped and currently competition ready ITA CRX's go for less than $4-5k recently. What you're describing is worth at most the $2,500 mentioned above and potentially quite a bit less depending on what parts are on the car, spares package, and overall car condition.

I have not been on in awhile. It is an 80s CRX. I have not had a chance to go through any of it. The car was a friends car that is sitting for some time.

    First Gen CRX....'84-'87
    Second Gen CRX....'88-'91

First Gens run in B or C, depending on if they're fuel injected or Carb.
Seconds can run in A, B, or C depending on type of fuel injection and
    4 or 5 speed trans.

Incredibly good ready to race A....$8000-10,000
    B.....$3000-4000
    C.....$2000-3000
    Or not!
