Default July 2012 "Road Africa GP" videos

All from Trever driving. Mine were pretty boring. Didn't make it past the formation lap on Sat due to an mystery axle problem and ran around by myself on Sunday.

Yea. Margin of victory was 0,234sec! That RX7 is super fast. We better watch out at Charlotte! He had us covered if it wasn't for the lappers.

We? Both of you fellows have some power. My 281 torks will have a hard time beating either one of you, besides, you guys are driving better than I manage. I might have to try and follow you around and get some learning.

I really hate it that I messed up a double win for Harold. I saw the opportunity to make the pass and thought I had enough margin over Harold to do it and still not mess him up. Unfortunately, I didn't factor in going through 6 and 7 side by side with the Miata. It slowed me down and ended up with Harold catching me and killing his run out of seven. He would have had Trever covered otherwise.

The video ends just before the end, but it was exciting to see the two of them go through Turn 12 side by side. It sure looked a lot less than .234 sec!

Chuck what the hell is up with your shifter?

I've heard of flappy paddle shifters, but floppy stick?

    Is that normal, or broken?

That's normal for oe transmission and motor mounts.

Chuck, We won the fight for aftermarket motor and transmission mounts so go get some delrin/urethane pieces from Vorshlag.

Actually I do have the urethane motor/trans mounts. The shifter locating spring inside the trans is very weak and I use a very heavy stainless shift knob....lets the shifter mover around a lot. (tranny is original to my first '84 chassis and has about 300k on it) I did not realize it moved that much until this video but it has not been a problem for me....yet. Chuck
