It lost 5th gear and developed rod knock last September...it still drives just fine. It won't blow up. We drive it everyday, going on 305,000 miles. I have a new engine/transmission for it but just need a weekend off to put it in.

Hi Simon,
Congrats on your new ride! Sure looks like a WDC Region Spec RX-7 complete with Rotary Performance strut brace. Who did you get it from? I know most of the DC region SRX's, but I don't recognize that car off the top of my head.. There were so many of those cars built in the late 90's and early 2000's. A lot have been written off over the years, but there must still be dozens sitting in garages throughout the mid-atlantic area. Hope you enjoy driving it, very different than a Miata, and sounds way the h#ll better too! -Al Gervais

Thanks! I bought it from a local driver here in GA. The logbook shows it spent most of its time out west, Arizona to be specific.
