Stop by and check out the racing. 14hrs @ Daytona. Maybe some SCCA people can come by and pick up on why it is so big.

It's 3.56 miles. How many cars does the SCCA allow on track at any one time? It's X number of cars per mile, but I don't remember the number.

The SCCA limit is 25/mile with the possibility of an additional 10% with the approval of the division executive steward. Since this isn't an SCCA sanctioned race it's a moot point.

Event report? Usually we get a report of how great the event was with so many cars and drivers, no incidents and completely safe and fun.

Good race, lots of cars, the biggest wreck was a rain induced panic slide of about 3 cars. All walked away , maybe 2 totals.

MY cars in the pic. the red Golf is /was a ITB legal car with the windows and the hatch removed. P38 @ 2:42 lap times.. We now run it in SCCA HP, so that the owner can use SRF tires.
The white car was the oval tracker with the roof cut off and some lightening, 1750# plus driver, fuel, DNF with broken piston ring. lap times about 2:36 full on.
It is down some power at this point is is getting a turbo, as we speak.
The third generation cars have gotten pretty fast. We started at about 4th place lap times @ Roebling Road, with a gutted VW,. Now we have dropped to about 20th, of 100.
    Time to adjust..
