Default DRAGON HILLCLIMB - JUNE 23-24 in NC!

SCCA Central Carolinas Region is proud to present the Chasing the Dragon II Hillclimb on June 23-24 in Robbinsville, NC!
    Registration is now open http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/...event_id=13198

Hillclimbing is a great Southern tradition and we'd love to have you join us for this event! Spectators are welcome at no charge. You'll see CSR/DSR, Production racers, Formula cars, Specials, vintage... all competing on a wicked 2.4 mile course with over 1000 feet of elevation. All this set in the beauty of the Nantahala Forest... a few miles from the Tail of the Dragon. Hillclimb is one of the last spectator friendly amateur racing venues... spectators want pictures next to your car, kids want autographs and we have a lot of fun. We'll have BBQ being prepared on site and the folks from Robbinsville have a downtown party BOTH NIGHTS! More info available at http://www.dragonhillclimb.com

DRIVERS - We look forward to a great weekend in Robbinsville, NC and a lot of fun at the DRAGON! All drivers will be entered in a drawing for a set of HOOSIERS and a set of TOYOS from one of our sponsors, APPALACHIAN TIRE to be awarded at the awards presentation Sunday at 4:30... MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN! Please let our sponsors know we appreciate their support of hillclimbing in the Southeast! http://www.racetire.com

Always wanted to try a hillclimb but not sure? You're a road racer that feels "uncomfortable unless you can see around the corner"? Then take a look at a ride from in car with our King of the Hill Dragonslayer sword winning driver in his 2009 Porsche GT3 Grand Am Cup car.

Now ask yourself one simple question....

See you at the Dragon! ; )

This event won national honors after its first running, the repaving has only made it better. The community support is amazing as well. Here's your chance to see another side of racing that will give you thrills like no other.

Just in case you were undecided on coming to drive at the Dragon Hillclimb, we wanted to give you just a few small additional incentives. Ya' ready?

#1. Appalachian Tire has donated one free set of Hoosier race tires and one free set of TOYOS. These will be drawn for between the drivers who are at present at the Trophy presentation.

#2. Appalachian Tire is ALSO offering to any registered driver for this hillclimb an extra $100 off on the purchase of 4 TOYOS from now to July 1st.

#3. Jim Downing and Gary Milgrom at HANS have just graciously donated one brand new Medium 20 Sport HANS Device with post anchors and sliding tethers to be drawn for between the drivers present at the trophy presentation on Sunday.

We have about 50 drivers signed up right now... but we'd love to have more of you with us. We have a lot of fun in store for the event and for Saturday night. Might even have a little contest or two to show off your driving skillz... Come get some fun! I promise you, this event will be EPIC...

Yes, and many other classes that you may or may not have ever heard of.

As butch said all road race classes, all AX street prep with roll bar, and street mod as a catch all. We will find a place for you, we even have a rally class complete with navigator. Email [email protected] if you have registration questions. This is a party interrupted by racing!!
