    Default Miata Speedo Cable Removal

I have a '94 Miata and the speedo is removed so if I unplug the cable at the trans. will it leak and if so what can I do to plug the hole? TIA

I used an electric speedo speed sensor from a 99-05. Direct bolt in, plugs the hole, no fab required.

Thanks Tyler, $103 from mazdaspeed is a little steep I was hoping for a cheaper alternative

Cut the cable really short on the transmission side and leave the whole gear assembly in the transmission? That's how the RX7 people used to do it.

Not sure on the MIata, but on the RX-7s I have used a core plug (freeze plug) 27 or 28 mm if memory serves. less than a dollar at Napa.
