    Default VW clutch stuff

In my mismatch of VW engines. I have discovered that the Mk 3 pressure plate takes torque in the opposite rotation direction as does the Mk 2.. The "Sachs", Mk 2 PP loads the little strap in compression. That explains why they break the straps.
The Mk 3 loads the straps in tension, not breaking the straps. To use the Mk 3PP, in the mk 2 flywheel, you have to turn the OD to fit inside of the Mk2 wheel.

Also. The rear seal best fit is a 105x85x9/11. Not the 105x85x10.
You want the seal with the crank seal face inside of the seal housing, so that it does not rub on the back of the flywheel/ PP.
I think that the part # is inmy book but I also should have some pics. E mail me .
    MM
Edit. Part # for the best rear crank seal is Victor Rienz, 81-23708-40
