Default LRP Test and Tune 4/10

    Hello,

I'm going to hit the test and tune at LRP on April 10th. Is there anything special I need to know? Few questions:

    • Can I stay over the night before in the paddock with the motorhome?
    • Is some kind of license required? Greg's novice permit expired
    • What kind of surprises will LRP throw my way?
I haven't done a test and tune there in 4-5 years.

Also hoping to hear if any other IT or ST drivers will be out knocking off the rust!?!

    Cheers,

Ben (we did some work to it over the winter, nothing much....

    Ben

I don't know the motorhome parking answer but any driver will need a current SCCA license in order to run!

    1) Bring snow tires
    2) You usually don't go on track until 12:00 - 1:00. The club is on track in the morning
    3) you need some sort of license: BMW/Porsche Club, Vintage, etc
    4) The good news is there is no tech................
    5) I wouldn't imagine they would let you park over night. You might end up mingling with the club members.
    6) Some sessions they use the uphill chicane (which I found fun)
    7) some times they end on the early side
    8) Bring warm cloths!!

I might go up there to watch. If I do, I'll try to find you.

We are trying to get the Acura ready for a dry run that day also!
Would love it if any veterans were there with words of wisdom!??

You can park the RV in Lights Field most likely, they usually allow this or don't bug us when we do lol

Noone can stay in if they don't have security on staff over night, ie. during an event.

Food is usually opened for breakfast.
Should be no issues getting in the gate at 7 even though your event is later...

I MIGHT be there... there is a SCDA event the day before. But there is an event at NJMP I might do instead that Monday and Tuesday...

how many schools has he done? The certs from those might be enough... What does it take to get the novice permit back? that would be a good start...

That said, I would say that is not a good event to put a inexperienced driver into. Your car is pretty quiet, come for the SCDA day.
