    Default Injector tech tip

I've never seen anybody write about this but I think getting injectors checked/cleaned is a pretty wise investment. I've used Marren Injector service
https://www.injector.com/ for about 10 years. He'll clean and check an injector for about $25.

On my newest car, I realized this spring that I'd never had the injectors checked. I had also noticed that under load, my O2 display was showing real lean instead of the normal real rich. I sent the injectors to Tim and one had 15% less flow than the rest.

Without that service, I probably never would have found the problem.

Let me tell you about my experience with Marren. 7+ years ago I send them 4 Miata injectors. They call me and tell me one is bad. AOK. I send them 3 more. Figure a few spares never hurts. They finish them and return them. I open the box and I have 2 sets of 3 injectors. The flow plots I got for one group of 3 are not the same as the plots for the other 3. As in 50% different. I call them up and explain my predicament. They say don't worry, there all fine and the same. Now I would like to think I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday. What they do is make sure they work. Then grab a plot sheet to put in the return box. I do not believe for a second that they actually test them. They sell smoke. Now its better than not knowing that there broken. But balanced, YA. And I got a bridge to sell you.

I've done business with Tim about 10 years. I've never met him but I have talked with him and asked about his processes. He seems knowledgeable, and the injectors come back looking like new. I can say that he found a bad injector that in retrospect I was seeing through lean O2 readings. I never mentioned that it was bad so he must be doing something right. Ps - He also found a bad injector in your set too.

You may be right, or I may be right, but nothing I have seen indicates that he is a scam.
