    Default Spare Tire Removal???

Do I still have to remove my spare tire, even if it's not in the interior?

Spare tire removal was never "mandatory".

Indeed, I use one as ballast.

Joeg, this is ST that I'm talking about...

    9.1.4.

    E. Interior
    1. The following items must be removed : tool kit, spare tire, supplemental
restraint systems (SRS) and passive restraint systems.

What if the spare tire isn't in the interior? What about the underside tray and frame? This is a big peice that affects the underside aerodynamics and exposes a large open bumper cover as a plastic drag inducing device. I'm thinking about writing a clarification request.

Spare tire "must" be removed in Super Touring. It "may" be removed in Improved Touring.

James, just remove the tire, but leave the tray. No aero penalty that way.
