it is a good car (Geoff's that is) You have NO excuses now. if you're not running up front it's because of YOU, not the car!!

From my perspective "learning" to drive my TEG had its' "curves". Coming from a slower class "C" car presented it's challenges. I hated my car when I first started competing in "A". My advice - go slow to get fast. I started to smile after my third or fourth event - take your time, it will pay dividends later. You don't have to justify your car to anyone except yourself - all the teasing aside the "kill stickers" will come - be patient.

Jeebus. Started at $7K, then worked his way down to asking $3900.
That's short money for a pretty decent car! (and who knows what the actual sale price was!)

    yea, buy, don't build!

Because $3900 is what it was worth. It was a good looking chassis, but that car had nothing else going for it. Will take a lot more money to get it anywhere close to a top-notch Integra. Engine, tranny, cage, shocks, springs, bars, bushings etc all need completely re-done or replaced. But, the Integra is a known quantity at least, and these things can all be had without too much fuss - just takes money. It's a good starter car, to get an ass in the seat and on the track gaining experience, but that's why it went for a starter car price.

You are exactly right! Cage just got completely redone and made legal!
Brakes, rotors, clutch and bushings are here and the list to order gets bigger by the day! We are currently gathering information from the people 'in the know' regarding suspension and the exhaust is almost non-existent!
As far as 'where are the Fords', I might be starting the season in mine due to the time and money needed to get the Teg ready!
We are trying to remember the "take it slow to go fast" advice, any helpful hints are priceless!

Dano is going Prod Racing as soon as his boss lets him. Thats the tough part when you become self employed.

But The car is still in IT7 Trim as I cant seem to find the ambition to get to work on it yet. May show up at a regional or 2,or a Hillclimb,or Rally NY Tarmac event. Lots to do,yet no money to do it all yet.

No prob bro-tary man. Keep your car in IT-7. Never mind that prod stuff.

Sorry for the thread jack Denise but I had to put Dano in his place. Now back to building a proper car. I am also available for any questions about Integra builds.
