Sadly, LRP was not as user friendly as they have been in the past. That was the only date that could have worked.

In regional / national classes, sure makes the Narrc a bit easier. Or at least in theory.

I know Dan Jones and Doc Aziz wont run at Summit with the current ITR run groups. ITR is healthy enough elsewhere......

Well, Chad DeHaven (the ITS/ITR rep) and I tried. The motion to have the class moved to the ITA/SRX7/SM5/T3 group for 2012, even on a trial basis, failed with only two votes for.

As a reminder, this decision was made by the Region's Club Racing Committee, made up of each class driver's rep as well as the chief of each specialty, and it is charged with doing what it feels is best for the race program as a whole, including the race experience of all of our drivers.

Sorry folks. While I am not going to copy the supporting data again, the MARRS BB group is a pretty decent home to the class. If you choose not to run with us due to a different perception, that's unfortunate, but I do understand.

Just got word we can announce a change to our August 18/19 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This year it will be a combined MARRS/SARRC double weekend with double CCPS pro series (http://www.carolinacupproseries.com/) running under the lights Saturday night. Big bore will also run at dusk under full lighting for their second race of the weekend.

CCR and the SEDIV are looking forward to racing with our friends in the MARRS series and showing some southern hospitality. We take a break Saturday afternoon and cook a dinner for everyone then turn on the lights and go back racing.
