GCR seatbelt rules

Ok I am on page 84 of the GCR

1) Says the belts are only good for 2 years

no matter what the manufacture expiration date says

Now number 2) under FIA specs you can now use the Manufacture's expiration date

Now if your belts have both SFI and FIA then the expiration date is the least date or the date that is coming up soonest (this throws the 2 year rule out the window)

So I am a little confused

I would sure like to make the last race before the Hans device becomes mandatory.

5 years for FIA belts trumps the 2 year standard for SFI. FIA belts will state what year they expire in (last day of), SFI have the date (M/Y) of sale or manufacture and tech will use that to judge compliance.
