Yeah, because the Baltimore GP couldn't kill the MARRS Labor Day Double.

    June date.

Imagine Pro IT as a support series in the streets of NJ! Just like everyday on NJ roads.
    Thanks,

Not sure why the Glen isn't being used instead of a street race somewhere in NJ. Eh.

From what I read they want the NYC skyline in the background. See what they say in a few minutes.

Remember that problem you were having last month trying to find a decent 5-star hotel in upstate New York for you and 1,000 of your closest team owners, managers, engineers, and crew...complete with helicopter pads...?

I'm not sure about that Greg. In speaking with one of the previous hot spots, I think a big part of what hurt them was drivers no longer stayed outside of the track.

And staying in Weehawken New Jersey fixes that, how...?

That'd be fun. Wonder how much that would cost?

because F1 is about glamour. And there isn't any glamour in upstate NY. If a large crowd is expected, and it's high end, they are out of luck up there. Near NYC, different story. They will copter into the city at night, or take ferries which they charter.
No way is Bernie going to the Glen.

Of course, that ignores the fact that the Glen is decades behind the times in terms of providing a facility up to F1 standards.

Compared to F1's we may only get 4 or 5 laps in 45 minutes. Left handed track too.

Agree on the FIA standards (or lack thereof) at the Glen, Jake. NY city region is pulling from Boston, Philly, Washington etc. - ideal location.Certainly F1 is about glamor, but primarily it is primarily about markets. The biggest (car and other) markets in the US are on the East coast and in California. What a surprise now I read the first articles speculate about possibly having three races in the US in the future (that was the case in the past). If that materializes (has to compete with Asian markets and to a lesser extend South Africa), CA is next.
