    Default weber 32/36 dgv tuning

I'm rebuilding a weber 32/36 DGV as part of a resurrection project on a 75 Corolla ITC car. The car was pretty fast in its day, so I assume the carb was well tuned. My question concerns the auxillary venturi in the primary throat. The tube inside the venturi has been pushed into the carb body so that the other end of the tube is open in the middle of the venturi. The venturi in the secondary throat looks normal. So was the primary throat venturi modified on purpose? I can't imagine that the venturi tube moved by itself. Anybody out there have experience with this? I'm ready to reassemble the carb, and can't decide to leave the venturi as is or change it back to a stock config.

Problem solved. Apparently the tube in the venturi had vibrated out of position. Thanks to Mike O.

Does that mean you are going to be at Nelson Ledges on Friday?

I was hoping to go, but the car's still not quite road-worthy.
