Not to bring up an old sour subject but I had a question to see if everyone agrees with me. I "think" these are legal per the new rules. Engine is in the same position but the mounts are located under the front frame rails rather than on the top.

    Thoughts?

It would be useful to have a photo of the OE parts to compare to, but:

    9.1.3.D.1.s:

To allow commonly available engine mount aftermarket
inserts, replacement units, or “window weld” like solutions
without allowing solid metal or rigid materials or bearings that
could result in the driveline becoming a stressed member of
the chassis, the following is permitted. Engine, transmission,
differential or any other driveline mounts may be replaced.
Mounts may use only stock mounting points, must maintain
stock location and orientation of the mounted component, and
must be non-rigid.Rubber or other inserts in stock mounts may
be replaced with any other non-metallic material.

"Mounts may use only stock mounting points"

I guess I will retract and say no since it is on the bottom of the frame rail not the top. It also connects to both front frame rails but I don't think that really matters since the rules don't "disallow" that as long as the mounted unit (Engine in this case) stays in the same spot.

Tying the frame rails together would be a disallowed function wouldn't it?

It's an all or nothing deal. So, I would say "no", it is certainly not legal. Read the rule again in its entirety and tell us how that mount is legal.

Guess Im gonna ask, Why are you interested? Your car dosent run a turbo or have a wastegate hanging under the chassis. Thats probably a solution to a problem that dosent exist on your particular car.

Bigger question is, Why do you want to spend money needlessly? If thats the case then drive on over and I will take all the spare cash you have dude. I will even let you hang out while I take it. Hows that?
