1st gen race seat mounting

Anyone care to share how they've mounted their seat in their 1st gen Hondas?

I currently have my race seat brackets bolted to two small bars welded to the sill and tunnel, but the more I look at it the less I like it. The metal in the floor/tunnel of my car is flimsy at best and I think I'd rather somehow have my seat tied to the cage. Anyone else do this and care to share pics?

The other issue I have is that I need to lower my seat several inches but can't because it then hits the downward slope of the tunnel - anyone else have this issue? Should I just create the space needed with a BFH?
