Default 2009 MARRS ITB Champion on the pole in St Pete's

Tristan Herbert won the pole for the Touring Car Class in the World Challenge Series in St Pete's, which will be live streamed today. He was at our PDX/TT event at Summitt Point on 3.12 shaking the car down and had to replace the pressure plate, luckily not at St. Pete's. Starting second is another former MARRS Champion in Spec Miata, Chip Herr, a seven-time Touring Car race winner. Congrats to both of them and good luck!

Just to add - race #1 is at 11:50am (ET) this morning, race #2 is at 4:30pm tomorrow. Am I correct in that it appears they are running all 3 classes together now? Sorry if I'm out of touch, I haven't seen a WC race since they quit airing them on Speed.

Just an aside - they will also be airing the IndyCar race from St. Pete on ABC tomorrow; race starts at 12:30.

To add to that there will be LIVE race coverage of both races here: http://www.world-challengetv.com/

Yes all three classes now run together, I believe 49 cars are scheduled to take the green.

That would be nice... If I got Versus!!!! But I wouldn't watch it anyways! Talk about about a day late and a dollar short...

I'd have already watched it live... I might if I missed it... and I am a lil curious about versus, but my main point was: watch it live or bust

Ohhh gotcha, I thought you just didn't want to watch WC. lol

I like Versus, they have pretty good coverage of the motorsport they do show.

I'll primarily watch it because of Tristian racing it, and St Pete it a cool track.

Not the results Tristan & Chip were hoping for, and a very long full course yellow, but they'll get another crack at it today at 4:30. The commentary during the yellow was interesting, and they both got a good bit of air time.

Congrats to Tristan Herbert and Team Brimteck who won the TC class on Sunday and apparently set a new track record in his class. He gets a nice lead photo on the main page and promoted the SCCA during his interview.
