'Cause Bob's as Internet-savvy as a box of rocks (and is perfectly happy with that)?

Call him directly via telephone, or you can contact him through Dave Austin, "DaveITB1" here in this forum.

considering the small handful of forum software programs out there, the spammers can pretty easily get around the basic safeguards. lots of the forums I've set up ask a couple basic questions during the signup procedure that require a specific response. like 'who designed the original Cobra?' or "what's the acronym for the sports car club of america?" or things like that.
It pretty much ensures that the responder is human.
That's gotten rid of a ton of problems with spammers on the forums I've run, and also weeds out some of the people that are too stupid to make intelligent posts.
