Default 2010 British touring car championship

Just watched the British touring car championship from Brands Hatch(the F1 course)on the SPEED channel. Both Ford(Focus) and Chevy(Cruze)are racing...along with Acura(Integra, BMW(135?) are racing and the Chevy(new car) was actually leading the series going into the race. The Ford and the Chevy are both "world" platforms.

Great series...always set the DVR for it.

I am sure the Hondas are also something close to what we get here.

FYI, the Integra is on the Honda label and resemble the (edit) USDM RSX from what I can see. The honda civics Type-R are similar chassis to late model US civic Si but with different body styling. The BMW is the 320si on e90 platform.

I really enjoy watching BTCC, FIA GT1 and more recently the Australian V-8 Supercars... WOW!

DITTO on the Australian supercar series.WOW....was on SPEED over the weekend and came down to the last 2 races at Sidney. In the first race the top 3 leaders all crashed in heavy rain on slicks, with a 20 car pileup behind them. One of the 3 was able to get their car repaired and finish the race with the right front wheel running heavy neg camber and the left front with the
    normal posi camber!!

I've been a fan of BTCC since around 1997 and V8 Super Touring Cars for a while too, this year's V8 series was great, BTCC has been good too but boy do I miss the older days.

The European Civic is actually built on the Honda Fit platform. Mac strut front, rear beam, but with the fuel tank moved out from under the driver and K20 under the hood.

It's amazing what they can do with that platform.

Nice track, with a fair amount of runoff room. Would love to know what the spec rain tire is for that series!!

Nice catch on the Honda Fit....seemed too tall to be an Acura.

Been a fan of the BTCC since 1999, which features some of the world's wildest races. Yeah, the old days flat out rocked, when every big-name mfg. was involved. But today's version is still excellent.

Aussie V8s are all kinds of awesome. The series has some VERY skilled drivers racing on some of the COOLEST circuits anywhere. (Who else has a Mount Panorama?)I love the sounds of the AV8s more than any other series.

I like DTM for its high-tech car rules. Those cars handle unbelievably, better than any other tin-top in the world, IMO. But the racing seems to lack the spectacle of BTCC and the soul of AV8.

I've heard that Japanese GT would run circles around even DTM in the tech department. But I've never seen any of their races. Anybody know anything about Japanese GT and how it might compare to the others?

What about the Brazilian Stock Car series? Pretty sweet looking cars with a V8 stock car roar.

    Very DTM looking.

Chris, from what little I've seen, the Japanese GTs are similar in tech/aero and racing to the DTM series. BTCC is, IMO, better racing.
