    Default redundancy?

How many endurance cars have redudancy systems in place? Specifically redundant ignition coils, ignition boxes (ala MSD) & fuel pumps?

Easy to do in a car with older technology, than for something like I've got with all major functions controlled in one big box. We do have a spare box but it lives in trailer.

We used to have a spare throttle cable run parallel to - but disconnected - in the rally car. An easy on-the-fly fix. Ultimately though, you aren't going to be allowed to do a side-of-the-road fix on a modern road course so it doesn't make a ton of sense to worry about it in most cases.

Newer cars with integrated controls and coil packs or coil on plug setups won't be able to add redundancy setups like older cars. However, parallel fuel pumps is possible. Not sure if it's worth the effort.
