    Default Glove Box Removal

    All other interior trim
panels, except the dashboard, may be removed. Other than
to provide for the installation of required safety equipment
or other authorized modifications, no other driver/passenger
compartment alterations or gutting are permitted.

Does this mean we can or can't remove the glove box?

My opinion would be the glovebox must stay. It's clearly not, as defined by the technical glossary, a "trim" piece. And it is certainly not mentioned in the allowances (or anywhere else, for that matter), so I don't see a way to legally toss it.

Of course, I'm biased... in my case it's a neat place to keep my briefcase-sized Bosch D-Jet computer.

You can remove it as long as you put it where your washer bottle is supposed to go........

A rules question in Improved Touring that nobody cares about? Unpossible.

I took my entire dash out to have my cage installed so that the builder could get the front down bars as close to the a-pillars as possible, all the way to the floor and get my knee bar as high as possible. Low and behold, when I went to put the dash back in, the, the glove box could not be reinstalled. So I invoked the 'and other authorized modifications' clause.

What a wasted opportunity to get rid of your washer bottle.

    Dan,

Your's is probably like mine and glove box is part of the kick panels under the dash and not the dash itself. So I say it's lumped in with all other interior panels that we are allowed to remove.
