    Default Miata Head gasket

Is there a thinner head gasket for a 1.6 Miata that would raise the compression to ITA legal specs?

How much compression do you expect to gain using a thinner gasket? Just askin.

    That, unfortunately, would be illegal.

GCR 9.1.3.D.1.o (p383), "Cylinder head gasket(s) may be replaced with any gasket(s) having the same compressed thickness as stock."

GET A POTATO! DIE IN A FIRE! FAIL! FAIL! I SAW WHAT YOU DID THERE!

Oh wait, this is the blue board, not the poopbox......

Yes, what Greg said. Only way to legally raise compression in an IT motor to the .5 allowed is cylinder head cutting.
