What exactly wont work with the 14x7 wheels? I have the 10.1" 16v brakes, so I need to keep the 14" rim because of clearance.
Thanks again

They work on the car, but ITB is allowed a maximum 6" wide wheel. Probably not an IT car though considering the front brake swap. So the 14x7 is fine.
:026:Yea the 14is ok but the 7 aint & 10.1 brakes not legal....I wish I could run 13s on my GTI...Do have rear disk conversion also? dose it have a JH engine? or an ABA swap? Ya might want to read the GCR.....Or just look at the spec line....Good Luck!

thanks for the replies guys.
According to the gcr's for the IP3 CACC division(Canada), brakes allowed are whatever will bolt to the original spindles, rims allowed are plus two from original, and width being whatever will fit within the stock wheel arches/fender wells.
Engine is a overbored JH with cis and g grind cam, exhaust, etc. Car will be set against e30's, integras, etc, so I have been told it will not be too competitive. I will most likely go to a 16v swap(we don't go into vin's much here) next season, if the car turns out to be a total dog.
