    Default RX-7 12A Carb Question

Last race I was at my 81 Rx-7 started missing all of a sudden, like it was out of gas. I barely made it back to the pits where the car shut off and would not start up. It was not out of gas, but seemed to be getting to much fuel in the carb and as a result it was flooding. I could see some fuel sitting on the bottom of carb. Any suggestions on how to fix this or things to check as to find the cause?

most likely cause is that the needle and seats are stuck open causing unmetered fuel to over flow the bowl and run out the jets into the throttle bore. try turning on the fuel pump and look down carb if fuel flows and pools on throttle plates thats an issue. try and start car without fuel pump running and "LIGHTLY" tap on carb where fuel lines feed bowls. Then try pump and see if prob persists,if so it will need to have top off carb and check for float damage, debris in needle, etc
    Hope the cheap fix works.
