Default Damn the steel wheel weights

This weekend I melted down two 5 gallon bucks full of wheel weights since I wasn't able to get the lead from blake out of his 914. The buckets weighed just at 200lbs which was perfect as I needed to add 190lbs to the car.

after about half turned out to be steel weights I only ended up with ~100lbs of lead and a 5 gallon bucket full of steel bits!!

    In search of lead.... again.

Suspend the steel weights inside a brick of lead: Make a mold and, using welding wire, hold the steel bits in the center of the mold. Melt the lead and pour it in. When it hardens you've got a lead brick with a steel core.
